Overview:
Product name: Organic Bismuth Catalyst DABCO MB20
Alias: DABCO MB20, bismuth metal carboxylate catalyst, organic bismuth catalyst DABCO MB20, catalyst DABCO MB20, metal catalyst DABCO MB20
Product description: Organic bismuth catalyst DABCO MB20 used in polyurethane soft foam, hard foam and CASE
DABCO MB20 catalyst is a carboxylate based on organic bismuth. As a co-catalyst, DABCO MB20 catalyst can be used with tertiary urethane amine catalyst to accelerate the reaction and curing of urethane (polyol-isocyanate). The DABCO MB20 catalyst is an alternative to organotin catalysts in soft bulk sponges, high-density flexible foams, sprayed hard foams, microcellular elastomers and rigid foam systems.
Product properties:
Light yellow transparent oily liquid;
Viscosity (25℃): 50mPa.s;
Density (25℃): 1.22g/cm3;
Flash point (PMCC): 158℃;

Product Usage:
Dabco MB20 is a bismuth metal carboxylate catalyst that can be used as an auxiliary catalyst for tertiary amines to accelerate the reaction and curing of carbamates;
Dabco MB20 can be used to replace tin metal catalysts in flexible bulk foams, high density flexible foams, spray foams, microcellular foams and rigid foam systems.
Typical physical properties table:

Features:
Strong gel polyurethane organic bismuth catalyst
Shows delayed viscosity at the front end at low dosages while promoting excellent back end curing
Free of mercury, lead and dibutyltin
Low volatility, low odor
Compatible with common rigid and flexible foam polyols
Recommendations:
DABCO MB20 catalyst can be used to manufacture rigid foams, microcellular elastomers and high-density polyurethane soft foams to replace traditional metal catalysts based on dibutyltin, lead or mercury. DABCO MB20 catalyst can improve the problem of too long curing time caused by using only amine catalyst. It can be synergistically combined with other polyurethane amine catalysts to obtain additional activity. It can achieve fast curing and has excellent foam performance without dibutyltin.
DABCO MB20 catalyst can also be applied to industries including high-density structural rigid foams, rigid sprayed rigid foams, rigid foam sandwich panels, sandwich panels, reaction injection molding (RIM) and self-skinned foams.
Shelf life:
Keep unopened for two years
Storage and transportation:
Should be sealed and stored in a dry, cool and ventilated warehouse
package:
200KG/drum Storage: It is recommended to store in a dry and cool area with proper ventilation. After the original packaging, please fasten the packaging cover as soon as possible to prevent the water and other substances from mixing into the product and affecting its performance. Store in a cool, dry place, keep the container sealed and avoid contact with oxides. Do not breathe dust, avoid skin and mucous membrane contact. Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited in the workplace. After work, shower and change clothes. Store contaminated clothing separately and wash it before reuse. Maintain good hygiene habits. The company recommends that all polyurethane catalysts be stored in a dry, cool and properly ventilated place. All storage containers must be well sealed to avoid contact with water or other influential substances, because this may change the performance of the product in use. The storage temperature is 10°C to 30°C. Lower or higher temperatures are not suitable and should be avoided as much as possible.
