Properties: Sweet, astringent in flavour, neutral in nature, it is tropistic to the spleen

and kidney channels. Being sweet in flavour, it can reinforce the spleen and the kidney; and

as an astringent remedy, it has effects of preserving body essence and arresting diarrhea.

This herb is an important remedy for invigorating the spleen and kidney channels and

functions in strengthening the spleen to relieve diarrhea, tonifying the kidney to arrest

spermatorrhea and leucorrhagla. It serves to treat protracted diarrhea, spermatorrhea and

leukorrhagia due to deficiency of both the spleen and the kidney.

Main function: To benefit the kidney and arrest seminal discharge, to invigorate the function of the spleen and relieve diarrhea, and to remove damp check excessive leukorrhea.
